Still looks nice though :)

Technically, you are right, they are the leather "Sport seat" option fitted to an L&K - however, the "Sport seat" is the vRS design.

I am liking the door mirrows. Very RS4.

Are these actually available to buy and if so how much?

The guy is called Ales. He is in CZ and unfortunately doesn't speak English.

The door mirrors would go nicely with a black magic car.

Can't you use the universal language of USD? (ie hard dollars ;) )

Úvodn

Are sports seats and option on the L&K then? :rubchin:First I've heard of it...

You miss the point. I have been trying to buy things from him for ages but he doesn't understand me and I don't understand him. At the moment I am using a 3rd party to negotiate between us.

Probably an option in other countries but obviously not here. It's taken them all this time to finally get the UK L&K spec more or less in line with our continental counterparts.

Lots of lovely options if you aren't the UK distributor. They don't want to make the Octavia too nice against a VW or AUDI.

Go to Czech Republick and they are the car.

Last year Skoda sold 52% of the cars in Czech Replublic  - the other countries in the region aren't far behind Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Hungary, Macedonia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Serbia and the Ukraine with upto 36% market penetration.

They supply almost all the presedential, government and diplomatic cars for the region - so the top spec cars are expected to be well kitted out.

You have to compare that to the fact they have 1.7% market share in UK and are positioned as VW's cheaper relation.

Not really, OK I was being a bit sarcastic - but the fact is he wants to sell you want to buy.

Language should not be a barrier, you just need to get a friendly translator or go between as you say you are.

Where there is a will there is a way - good luck!

Have you got Czech phrase book?, start out with the basics like, 'Hello, my name is Stu, I am from England...' etc, then progress to the more advanced stuff.

Yeah it was on the page before 'Hello my name is Jonno, also from England and I am a......."

Suffice to say some progress has been made ;)

 Keep us informed then, anything in particular you're interested in? I do like the look of the mirrors but I am not sure they have the indicators built in or not?

The indicators and puddle lights are in the bottom half of the housing so they should be ok.

If they can be obtained I would be interested. (Potential group buy perhaps?)

I see what you mean. I assume the top half of the mirror separates and their is a connection for the mirror movement?

I'd defo be interested too if we can overcome the language barrier. I have every confidence in Stu being able to sufficiently refine his czech language skills :)

They are just the shells (housings), so they should just clip on the backs of the main arm/mechanics of the wing mirror.

Indeed. I have had the mirror housing in bits when someone smashed the LED repeater a while back

The top colour coded cover pops off in an upwardish sort of direction. Then you are left with the mirror glass and electric movement housing which is all connected to the base which is what moves on a spring loaded hinge. The LED repeater/puddle light connects to this via 2 screws

FYI the entire black plastic underside is integral to the clear plastic part which covers the repeater LED's. I always assumed the clear part was separate but they are bonded into one piece.

The new RS4 Alloys, along with those Mirrors would look lovely.

At least they look like brushed ally and not chrome. That would be too much IMO.

That's handy then, should be an easy fit. It did actually occur to me that this may be the case when I looked at my mirror earlier.

Hey Stu, what about going onto the English section of the Czech site and see if someone there would be the middle man and ask the qusetions for you.

Those Mirror covers look sweet.

Popping out the glass would be the bit I'd be afraid of :)
