Hi folks, here in Venezuela, South America we can find the Octavias on VW dealers, they offer warranty, parts and service.

I buy one with 2.0 engine and aotu tranny for us (wife dislikes manual gearbox), looking on the engine bay i can't found a badge with the country of origin,, so my question is, were is my MKI made?

Were are the plants located worldwide?

Skoda have several factories worldwide. I cant believe it would be cost effective to ship a car from cz to venezuala, so it could be that your car is made in central america/mexico although I dont know if there is a factory there. I know that cars made for the Indian market are actually built in India for example.

Found this statement but no mention of South America!........................

Well during the waiting period my dealer tell me that one of the problems for the waiting time was in Europe during shipping, for this i think that is Euro made but don't know specific country.
