I currently have XP64, too many things are not playing the game when it comes to installation and require a 32 bit OS, If I want to revert to XP is it just a case of loading up as you would for an upgrade?

probably not sadly as you can only upgrade to a bigger/better/newer version normally and i personally wouldn't consider it a down grade its more of a side step

i think you may need to reinstall windows.

is it an OEM license, retail or Open License? with OEM you're only allowed to run the version you bought, but the other 2 you should be ok.

You will have to wipe the install and start again, its not possible to convert across 32bit to 64bit, either way. You will also need a different product key as the 32bit one will not work with 64bit and vice-versa.

How about upgrading to vista 64? can that run programmes happily in 32 guise?

You can do that but I would guess that you will have even more issues with vista 64.

my point was that you will have to buy a new product key if it's OEM

but even if u have the correct key, it's definately a case of reinstalling.
