LOL @ ffelan

Damn the thread was closed but I think I made the w4nker look stupid.

Good job I have admin rights and can reopen threads as well. :D

 Does this mean I can sign-up and big up the skoda massiv? :D (I may not...)

Hmm, I think they would actually be surprised that a standard Fab VRS would actually give a 172 a run for its money, not perhaps from 0-60, but the midrange grunt mean that a 172 Clio might be quicker just, if he was VERY determined, but he's hardly going to P*ss all over it as he claims. What a w4nker.

I have heard that a standard Fab VRS / Ibiza TDI 130 will give a 180 bhp 1.8T Golf a run for its money, having almost the same performance from 0-100.

I'd imagine a chipped Fabia would leave his crappy Clio choking on diesel fumes ;)

Yerr I used to own a Clio 172 and standard a Fabia won't beat it but chipped is a different mater. the Clio has pull from 4,000 rpm but by that time the Fabia is in front then the Clio should pass it but with a chip the Fabia goes in front and staying in front.

Any car giving chase will beat me..hands down past 95.

Simply not worth the risks, unless deemed totally nessecary by a quick request to the Balzeron esk person in my head.

Heh, my mate in Chelmsford is always on Cliosport, but at least he's fairly mature (and doesn't currently own a car at all). Don't know if you know him, Chav. Think he was at a karting meeting recently or something?

Perhaps the various car-related forums could all have a "vs" forum for members of respective boards to have a dig at each other? :D

(To add fuel to the fire I had a standard looking clio try and race me last week. Was quite surprised he could keep behind me at 105...)

The Karting weekend was a mates one, I was ment to go on it but had things booked for that day.

this sort of thing goes on alot on cliosport... there was always banter between them and the Renault Sports Club when i used to organise the events for them (RSC).

Funny though, they still expect the clio (in all guises) to be faster than anything else.

Is that right? Tell that to the guy in the 1.2 16v Clio who I annialated in a Micra

Cast your mind back to about a year ago, there was a guy signing on as 2fast4u, he was adamant he beat an evo 6 in his 1.2

Must say thought the 172 is fast but there are alot faster out there, shame really I have met alot of really nice people through that club but certain owners on there think the 172 cup is the fastest thing on the planet, and when you chip it you will be able to hit light speed  :P

Add to that, the Fabia is cheaper even after being chipped! The Clio VFM thing kinda goes out the window too. :D

I just laugh at people like that as I play with them, before dropping a cog and leaving them in my soot!!

Those driving tales are hilarious 172 owners live in a crazy world

Beat me too it, but with a top ******* lowering (inc dampers) and a chip coming at around

Ivan, how come the Skoda thread has been closed but others are still open (like the bell end who tried to races a ferarri).
