windscreen replacement

Featured Replies

Hi, Recently had the windscreen replaced under warranty due to delamination

(2005 1.9tdi) and noticed the white trims on the inside of the pillars where they meet the dash have not been clipped in at the bottom. If I've managed to upload the picture you will see what I mean. It doesn't rattle or anything but I'm wondering whether to take it back. Does anyone know how difficult it would be to refix it - same on both sides of screen, or is it best left alone in case they make it worse?

Cheers

Thats easy to sort, you need to remove the A pillar trim from inside and reseat it. Just be carefull when pulling on it not to break the clips.

I'd drop it back in and get them to sort it.

I'd drop it back in and get them to sort it.

I think you should do this, saves you breaking it :)

Bearing in mind I've now had a few screens and numerous trips back where they have failed to do the same job correctly I'd pop back to the dealers and get them to fix it.
