Hi guys,

I keep getting my engine managment light comming on. When i went for the MOT they said it was a missfire on cylinder 2 at very low revs, tick over.

I left the car standing for a week came back and the light had gone off it was ok for another week. Yesterday the light came back on.

I have just been to my mates who stuck his snap on code thingy into the car.

the following fault codes showed:

16396 - cam adjuster

17705 - turbo valve something

17978 - ecu something or other

16684 - missfire cylinder 1

16686 - missfire no 2

16685 - missfire no 3

16688 - missfire

I have had the light reset and it has not come on again.

I cant understand this missfire thing the car runs spot on and has all its power. Whats going on?

Help

17705 - turbo valve something

Thats been on here a bit, Pressure drop between turbo & throttle valve. Cleaning the Throttle Body seems to clear it and improve the car for a while.

Here is some info on the codes. If they aren't stored anymore then it might be that somone messed with something and then didn't clear them.

I would suggest run it and then have it scanned again.
