The 01/03 UK brochure for the Skoda Octavia states that the 4x4 is available in Estate versions (sic) only. Since when?

First I heard of this! Maybe its an '03 MY 'revamp' of the range? But Dutch 4x4 has just ordered a 4x4 hatch brand new so they must still make them....is it once again the UK which gets the worst choice of models??:confused:

Its true !! We dont get the 130pd engine in the Octavia (in europe they even get this motor with a 6 spd box!) , we dont get diesel 4x4 s , we dont get the chance to have xenons or side airbags on the RS , now it seems we're not getting a 4x4 petrol hatch either? And here i thought the UK was one of the most lucrative markets in Europe , after Germany.....some manufacturers obviously dont think so!

I agree it is annoying.

I was after a 4X4 vRS with Xenons and washers with 225 bhp.

And don't forget the 2-litre petrol 4x4 that is available in Holland too - not that you would want one. :p

There are just two 4x4 hatches available, however - Elegance and L&K - with just one choice of engine (the right one, fortunately), and that's the 1.8T.

The 4x4 Estate (or 'Combi' as it's called here) comes in Comfort, Elegance and L&K trims (and currently Kompas and Collection too) and is available with the 1.8T, the 2.0 and a 6-speed 100bhp TDI (so not the 110 and 130PD versions).

I guess we're going to have to start importing from Ireland!

In Ireland we can get Xenons on an RS and a 4x4 L&K!

Am I missing something?

FFS , a 4x4 L&K? Now one of those would be nice , chipped and slightly lowered!.....another choice I cannot make....oh and dont get me started on the engine choice of the Fabia RS compared to the Ibiza Cupra R (thats the Rally-Teamless SEAT car co ltd , with the more sporty hatch than the VAG WRC team manufacturer!! GRRRRRR:mad: )
