well pleased....

my insurance premium with the fabia vRS was

Nice one Dave, that should keep the pupils happy :)

Didn't realise it was only a Gp 6 car! Sounds like a proper performance bargain!

Sounds expensive for someone your age.

Nice saving! Did you get an 'unmapped' price?

yeah... bargin for sure.... same group as the panda 100.... for driving school insurance we struggle, a friend of mine test drove the golf GT (1.4 170bhp) loved the engine, was going to order one, checked with his insurance company first, and they said no! seems the highest group we can insure as a driving school is group 14 :(

well I've had some suprises..... I had a quote from a different broker, but with the same underwriters (equity redstar) and the quoted

and adrian flux (famous 'modified' specialist company) couldn't get me insurance with the map :(

That's weird as they arranged my policy which is underwritten by Equity Red Star

Chris

Does anybody know names for 'specialist' insurers?

I have tried Performance Direct and Angel-something and NEVER got a quote. At several occasion they said "we will call you back with a price"

Currently I have the Octavia MKI unmodded (I guess that is 180BHP), but would like to get the ECU remapped, where should I go, how much should I be expected to pay?

Thanks

adrian flux and elephant often get good reviews on here, but i have to go for instructor cover, so I'm very limited..... ask on the octy forum, and I'm sure you'll get a good list of insurers....

Adrian Flux quoted me happy this time, but there are so many factors, you're better off ringing round. Chris Knott (site sponsors) were good on my Fabia....

Chris

Its probably because if you do crash the fiat will disintergrate and the other car wont be damaged :P
