My friend Simon in his Octy has called needing some advice.

He was driving his Octy VRs on his new KW setup and didn't replace the top mounts.

They have eventually worn out and caused the shocks to have a lot of play in them and thus needs some new ones ASAP.

Is there any advice as to uprated top mounts or poly ones available that may be better suited to his car with the KW's or just use new VAG replacements?

I would think the VAG replacements would be adequate. I've not heard of any aftermarket ones, that's not to say there aren't any.

I'll remove you ASAP tag as it isn't really an urgent question. You'll be lucky to get anything before next week unless GSF or ECP have some on the shelf.

If anyone has any after market ones fitted - for road or other uses - any information on alternate options would be handy.

If not GSF / The Local VAG stealer should be fine - the last standard ones have covered 100+K and have only just gone about 1K after the coilies were fitted.

Are the top mounts generic or specific to the VRs models?

Just trying to assatain availability....!
