I know there is another thread in the forum some where about this. I saw a Mk1 Octi in the Tovil area of Maidstone today approx 1145, 07 plated marked up taxi. :confused: :eek: :confused:

I'm lead to believe skoda are still making a few mk1 octavia still. i think its the estate modle in the ambiante trim level.

No, private plates are not allowed to make the car look newer than it actually is, i.e. you could not put an 07 plate on a 03 car but you can put an 03 plate on an 07 car.

No it couldn't be.

You are not allowed to put a vanity plate on your car that shows your car as being younger than it actually is. Ie you can put a 03 plate on an 05 car but not an 05 plate on a 03 car

Spotted an 07 reg MK1 Octavia Taxi in Hartlepool the other day.

Theres a few up here too , althought I dont think many more firms will be buying them , our ex dealer can no longer do warranty work.

The registration plate also only shows when the car was registered so it's possible to have a "late" registration on a car that was manufactured a few years ago (and never previously registered)....

i've also seen an 07 Octy 1 estate today , and yes it was a taxi

Estates are all old style on 07 plates furby included
