I'll have to see one in the flesh I think. I was never completely won over by the old estates' styling, nearly got the seat cordoba estate instead actually based on the looks but there were just too many sensible reasons to get the fabia. (more equipment, better engine, better build quality)

I was considering replacing my Cordoba Vario sdi with one of these next year, but I don't know... I prefer the squared rear from my Vario. When I put my bikes and cycling gear in the trunk, the sqaured rear just seems to offer more room.

Yeah I prefer the squared-off, mini-volvo looks too. IIRC with seats up the cordoba has more room but with seats down the fabia has more. (there's virtually no difference though) You don't loose that much space despite it being curved as the load space is bigger, the suspension towers and wheelarches encroach quite badly into the cordoba's boot space, it's not nearly as bad on the fabia as the rear springs have been relocated making the inner arches smaller, so you can fit wider stuff in.

I was this > < close to getting a facelift vario, I put an offer in after going to look at .cool /S TDI model but the guy wouldn't accept. I think I did alright in the end as the cordoba had only done 70K and the interior was in bad shape (lots of wear on driver related things) whereas the fabia had done 90k when I got it and there was no wear on anything whatsoever!

Yes looks more slylish than my six month old estate...........wish they would bring out Vrs version of estate for old men with tweed jackets ........

Seems like the new one will have significantly more load capacity with the seats folded, despite being similar length and width to the old one.

I prefer the RS. The first one is minging, although an improvement on the older Fabia estate. Quite frankly, I believe people should be arrested for driving those.

i like that. looks like that could be the equivilant to the level 3. its got the level 3 wheels and side strips, plus front fogs too.
