Seat Toldeo

Featured Replies

Was looking at Top Gear Magazine (Feb) and I see that there is now a 150bhp Toledo TDi. Could this be a more economical to run alternative to the Octy vRS for people who could not live with the tiny Fabia vRS?

Yep or the Leon Cupra TDI (150bhp) if you wanted a sports hatch. :)

Not really. The Seat Toledo is very impractical as it is a saloon with a very narrow opening. IMHO I feel the Fabia's boot is actually more useful. The Fabia isn't that small a car to be honest. Space inside is probably comparable to the Octavia, esp. in the rear. As I think Geoff said in the chat room, would you trust a car from a country that sleeps for 4 hours at lunchtime?

Apart from behind the rear seats!

You could always go for the Toledo 1.8 20vt Sport :)

Had a toledo 1.9 TDI as a hire car in spain last year, managed 2 large suitcases and other bits and bobs for a 2 week holiday in the boot without any trouble. It was easy to get in them in and out. In comparison when we went to the uk airport in the mondeo, the luggage was in the boot and on the back seat because it wouldnt fit. Rear space in the boot is simillar to the octy, but much bigger than the leon. Cabin was ok but the plastics were a hard, and they had put a nobbly effect on the dash to try and hide it. Otherwise its the same as the octy, same dash, same switches. All very famillier.

Mondeo ... say no more lol :)

Go for the Leon if you want the pd150. Also in tests it has beaten the 180bhp leon cupra, so speed and economy!

I had a Toledo V5 a few years ago - nice cars, very underrated

In standard Yes .... chipped/re-mapped NO ....

Standard MY03/04 Leon Cupra 20vt's have been coming off the rollers at 200 BHP
