The Bradford Classic

The guy who owns the plain white sprt quattro, is the guy who's mini I look after at various sprints and hillclimbs around the north.

I was given a ride in it a few years ago just after me and my dad had finnished re-fitting the rear diff to it, I can tell you it is bloody quick to 50mph.

One of the lads at work cleared this one up its a group of nutters who call themselves "slowly sideways" Also a special group B rally stage was set up in Odsal. Hope this helps, but maybe a bit more advertising next time:thumbup:

Yep It's the Bradford Classic. It's the second year it's been done and the feature cars were the group b weapons in the centre. We went in the V8 along with a few other Lotus models and a friends Monza's.

On the Sunday they shut the roads in the city centre and nailed the cars on laps round there. From what I heard the were taking no prisoners either.

Excellent photo's. Couldn't attend being on holiday but I understand this is going to be a regular event. I hope it takes off. The Audi was my favourite rally car in the 80's but my god that 6R4 was one hell of a motor (bloody loud too).

The 6R4 was a British Laylow mess. I know someone who did some aero work on his back in the day, cos it kept overheating. You know those big scoops on the rear wheelarches; He had air coming forwards out of them!
