Nurburgring Grand Prix

So , that's a bit of water then!

Car after car spinning off despite having intermediate tyres on , and now Lewis Hamilton has managed to get a push out of the gravel and might continue!

Oh , and a Spyker leading the race :D:thumbup:

Brilliant move by lewis.

Bit of a shame that after such a magnificent balls up by Kimi that he's so far forward.

I was very impressed by Lewis' start. He'd made up about five places before he was ****ted by a spinning BMW.

I think there's only 12 cars still running so as long as he can keep it between the lines he's almost certain to get a few points out of this

Yeah he got a nice bonus of being able to unlap himself and now he's pitting as well.

Dry tyres - I hope he doesn't feck it up.

He needs to buy a lottery ticket if this works out.

He does seem to be incredibly lucky

i like the way that the safety car is faster than the formula 1 cars in the wet. And how good did its engine sound

A very eventfull and enjoyable race.

I still stand by my view that F1 has really got interesting this year and long may it last.

Great drive by Alonso though, and well done Lewis for getting back as many places as you did even if you didnt make the points.

I'm a bit confused as to why Lewis was allowed back on track.

I get the dangerous position, but being allowed to continue racing?

That's the rules - if you get moved for safety reasons and can continue then this is fine.

It's not all that different to MotoGP where bikes slide off the track and are pushed upright by marshalls and allowed to continue

Damn sounds like I missed a good one - anyone know if the highlights are repeated this week?

Needs to be fast when there is an F1 car heading your way (backwards) at high speed - he showed good reactions to get out of the way of that one!

Think he should have got the "driver of the day" award!

I'd be keen to see/hear the in car footage at that point! ;)

From both drivers too...

I suspect, can't recall who it was, didn't even see the corner coming.

From Lewis's onboard cam you can just about make out....too late.

Yes a good race, well about 12 laps around incidents...how miffed must Massa be and oh to be a fly in Kimi's helmet as he slid out of the pit lane entrance...

I wonder if he could not have just *lost* it again and spun back in :)

Clare who hates F1; unless she wants me to sleep on a sunday did find the wet slide and park very funny though.
