The star rating is only aplicable to a crash with the same type of vehicle.

perhaps they can retest it, but is does sound like the interior is to blame.

4 or 5? still won't stop them selling them, unless you only want a 5 star car.

I had read that in order to get 5 stars some manufacturers were overloading the seatbelt tension to prevent leg damage at 40 mph.

OK for NCAP test and marketing dept but for higher speed collisions not good for chest injuries.
