Audi S3

Bodge, i think you misunderstand snoopie, he isn't saying it spools up earlier than the K03s, yes it does start to spool later but it gets to its full working pressure quicker than the K03s so the power comes in quicker when it finally does.

an S3 should be quicker than a remapped 4x4 as they will be running about the same power but the S3 having better gearing and marginally less weight(around 30-40Kg) but there won't be a great deal in it, i can't say about a vRS as i have never driven one :)

On a side issue how come this ended up on general car chat rather than Octavia forum? I wondered where it had gone!

I haven't had a chance of a head to head with my mate as he is still in the novelty phase after getting his license back - he shortened his old vectra by about 3 feet on a concrete roundabout at 90+ whilst "asleep" - got away with a broken arm and years ban, very lucky.

I don't know about the 4 x 4?

My VRs with mods in sig don't feel much slower than my old S3 running 265bhp ;)

Yes the S3 may get away quicker but rolling in gear there is not much in it!

Have a look at the speedo differences, rather than feel. My remapped Leon Cupra R K04, could quite happily pull away from my cousins Jabbasport remapped Leon K03s when mine was standard....

As I said earlier though, only at higher speeds, when the turbo gets to it's full working capacity. So a remapped S3, Should be somewhat ahead of the vRS in your sig ;)

Doesn't have to be higher speeds - if the driver keeps the S3 "on the boil" it'll always be in a position where a squirt of the accelerator will see it on boost. The S3 I went in was a bit tame though - for performance, I'd take the Scooby any day ;)

not wishing to burst your bubble mate but a 265bhp S3 would piddle all over your car :)

a K03s equipped engine in reality isn't ever going over 220bhp max as the turbo simply cannot deliver enough air efficiently to do so.

If you read my post you would have seen the S3 was MINE

I was just saying what I thought having had an S3 before the Skoda ;)

LOL

I just went through some old posts on here and they are saying 1/4 mile time of 14.9-15.2 for the VRs mapped ;)

On the Audi forum it's 14.4-14.6 S3 mapped so not much in it :P

P.s I got 14.9 @ Santa pod in my S3 (Yes I know it's a bad time)
