I am looking to buy my first Skoda and was thinking of looking for a Fabia (no sorry felicia) and have available to spend around

Thats Felicia money not Fabia.

I would have thought there was a '0' missing from the numbers.

Did a search on Autotrader and there's one very low mileage Fabia in budget

You should be able to pick up a felicia for really cheap.

They come wih 4 engines (I think)

From personal experience the 1.6 is great, and is a VW motor! _and chassis.

they come in hatchback, estate, pickup, and fun. trim's.

The best ones a laurin and klements, special edition only 200 made, have many extra's, such as

ABS, heated leather seats, sunroof, electric windows and mirrors, etc... -the list is endless.

personally, i'd go for the 1.3 LXi

because it's a Skoda engine and not VW

lower tax and insurance

no cam belt to break or change

nearly as fast as a 1.6

yeah i didn't think there was a 1.4

It was just ffrom reading other peoples comments

The early Fabia MPi is a 1.4 though with 75bhp and if i am correct hydralic tappets.

If you go for a 1.3 try and get the 68bhp version as some come with just 54bhp.

The 1.6 is a good engine though

Contrary to felicia racers post refering to the 1.6 having a vw engine and chassis, The engine bit is true but the chassis is all SKODA
