Featured Replies

Hi

Have give my black fabia the Megiars works just need to give it a second coat of the NXT Polish. But what is the best thing to seal it with and how long will it last before i need to polish it again.I did have a short list but after reading on here and other sites i am now not sure what to use. Also can you apply it right after your have polished the car?.

Thanks

mike.:)

:wrthless:

Get some wax on it mate and yes you can use it after you have polished, try something like P21S very easy to use and it's great on dark colours.

Hi

Thanks for the reply what make is it and where do i buy it

Mike..

NXT polish?

i swear by p21s carnauba wax. gives amazing shine and beading

P21S is rather good... i use Klasse sealant glaze to give a real lasting finish (but it's a b*****d to work with!) then use Zuffenhausen Swissvax as a top wax...

both pricey but totally worth it!

Klasse sealant would be the way to go in my book.

I use Klasse, in fact I used it on Sat during a full detail on mine, and I'm always really happy with the results. Finishes the polish off really well, and seals and protects the finish you've achived with polish(es). Then you've got a great base to start the waxing process. Never have problems working with Klasse at all. In fact I can do a whole car with a coat in 5 mins. This is after two coats of Mezerna polish by machine (Intensive followed by Final II). Just apply with a damp applicator bar/pad. Leave for 20-30 mins and then buff off with a microfibre/terry towel.

I like P21S but use Collinite waxes more and more these days. 476S for durability and 915 for a concours level finish (but not as durable).

Hi

Have attached a few pics as i got wrong at the top of the thread .This is how i want it to look after a shampoo so i think a sealing coat is the way to go but due to the purse strings being out of my control what is the best pound for pound and which will last the longest don't want to have to re apply it every month.

Use Jetseal, 3 coats on the wheels, 2 coats on the car - great shine and probably the most durable product out there. Plenty of good reports on DW

Another vote for the Collinite - amazing stuff!

Hi

thanks for all the advice but have now ordered the collinite 476s so will se how i get on.

mike

ive just coated my car tonight in 476 after washing it with autoglymm, it looks more metalic (and showing up some scratches which will need some resin on soon). normally i just put on autoglym spray and wipe wax which gives it a darker shine. the 476 is the second time ive used it and certainly helps to remove dead flies ;)
