I'm a private buyer currently shopping around to buy a new Octavia VRS Tdi estate and thought my luck was in when Skoda announced a free upgrade on the VRS ending 30th September. However, after reading some of the threads on this site it seems this upgrade has been running for some time and just keeps getting extended. I got money off the basic price irrespective of the free upgrades. The jumbo box isn't very jumbo btw.

Try one of the comparison websites like drivethedeal or just be ballsy and ask for more money off.

I just ordered mine also with the "free" upgrade.... Also got a discount off the listed price.

You should still be able to get a discount off of the new price as well as the extra's.

I would say don't try and buy a car without the Jumbo box as it will affect future resale value.

The current offer states that cars have to be registered before 30th September so a factory order is out of the question unless the offer is extended again.

I think it would be a very bad move not to have those options as they will be very attractive to used car buyers and could significatly affect the value of your car come trade-in/resale time.

Just picked up mine, registered 1st August, having traded in my Fabia VRS. Got a tremendous deal due to this offer, including the jumbo box. My car has the 17" alloys, but got metallic paint instead for nothing.
