I think Octavias generally look better in dark colours, I couldn't go for the blue because of long term issues with Chelsea FC, black is a pig to keep clean, my wife has banned me from grey, not keen on green, so red it is.

Without being cheeky, I'd love to know how much you are paying for yours. I got a

I've recently ordered an Elegance Estate in the colour. Seen a few Hatches and Fabias around.

Seen an Octavia today in bright sun and it looked superb....

My Fabia is Flemenco Red; when it's clean and the sun's out it's gorgeous, but it gets dirty very quickly

that was my second choice if i couldnt get black.

Sorry, not really keen on that colour...prefer Black even tho is a pain to keep clean!! But at that price you can't complain!

I think it's the most beautiful color at Skoda!

I like it, looks so nice :)

When looking at a used Octavia, I found that the colour showed all the scratches and swirls, and stone chips at the bottom of doors were very evident.

I have had my Octy Elegance for 8 weeks now. Every time I wash it I am so impressed with the finish that I decided to try and keep it that way. So I've invested in some Autoglym products. Today it has had a wash, received resin polish and gloss protector. Here's the result. I'm very pleased with the car and the finish which hopefully now can be maintained!

go easy on that super resin polish, its a mild cutting compound, and causes swirls, lines in the paint if you aren't too careful. You are better off with a good wax like Meguiars.

SRP wont cause swirls if you use the right applicator. it contains fillers which will mask the swirls but wont remove them as i dont think it has much if any cutting compound. The combination of using SRP and EGP (which is the equiv of wax) is very well regarded over on detailingworld

Love the colour.

Seconded

Lovely, classy

I am going off an observation by what it does under strip lights, I could clearly see swirls, and lines in the paint after using it, and had to use scratch remover to put right the damage it had done. I would never use the product again personally, I am not saying you don't have to either.
