If you're modifying the Felicia, go "inch up" on the wheels, then you can go down from something like 165R13 to 185/60R14s, if available add an inch to the rim width wrt standard. Even the car manufacturers used to do this, back in the days of things like the Escort XR3(i) and first Astra SRi and GT/e. We mostly didn't consider this to give over-heavy steering either.

im very weird, i do like felicia's dnt get me wrong they are brill cars hence why i have one. but i reli like the look of the favorits so i may get one of those an see what i can do with it

I reckon your car is a pretty good colour as well and will look good with some alloys on it. As for Power steering yes it is good but not the end of the world if it aint there.

yh i do like my car an i get the feeling every now an then that i do want to work on it and keep it, if i could get a nce favorit an would really love to do it up , i really dont know what to do lol

The Favorit is a cracking car - but finding a good one in nice condition will be difficult as the youngest ones are about 11 / 12 years old. I had one as my first car, and it was wicked - I loved every minute of it.

Bear in mind the Felicia is a Favorit, just with a couple of changes, the upper part of the dashboard is different, it has airbags / more engine choices etc. If yours is an N reg 1.3 SPI it is a Favorit - just with rounded ages, slightly better handling, an airbag!

I've got a non-PAS 1.6 estate on Mk2 Golf GTI/Corrado wheels (15 inch, 195s) and don't have much trouble at all. Yes the steering is heavier at parking speeds but you soon get used to it. They have also improved the steering no end giving a much crisper turn in and more feedback. Only downside in my eyes is that it tramlines a bit more.

my HP sporting coilovers should sort the tramlining i'm told.
