With the 1.8t engine. How does the interior, exterior, body roll, speed, acceleration, etc compare

the 1.8t engine in the L&K model has 150bhp as apposed to 180bhp in the vRS (all standard of course).

the interior layout is the same but the L&K is the luxury model whereas the vRS the sport. seats are more or less the same, possibly more supportive bolsters on the vRS and the colours and materials used differ.

The vRS has stiffer, lower suspension than the L&K so body roll will be less.

Speed wise they would be about the same, the vRS would have the edge due to its power advantage and like wise with acceleration.

I have a vRS and love it, i've seen an L&K on the carpark at work and i dont rate the colour of the leather at all, and thats coming from a car with silver and black interior which is pretty "in ya face" !

For more details on specs etc check Skoda's UK website

Thanks for the info

Alan

reminds me of the "incident" when a certian members L&K was trying to keep up with a vRS... (cant find the right smiley :() - good job leather is wipe clean :D

Well, I've had both a VRS an an L&K 1.8t.

In simple terms, the VRS is quicker, corners better, and brakes better

The L&K is more comfortable, not as fast (though it's only half a second to 60 and 10mph difference), and has more toys. (full leather, Xenon lights, leccy sunroof (EDIT) forgot the cruise control and the big computer display). the main difference in feel when you drive it is the brakes -the RS has outstanding stoppers.

Any more info you want -just shout!

Phil

not all L&K's have beige interior,

at my local dealer they have a L&K with Black leather.

Alex

I have seen an L&K with black leather too. The interior looked rather nice but the exterior was a bit nondescript by comparison. :D

if it was my choice id get a vrs.

But if i could start over again, id buy a 2nd hand 4x4 octavia hatch in white, source a genuine wrc kit, wrc livery and speedline turini's, wrc replica would look and handle great.

Fantastic info, i really want a vRS, just wondered about the L+K as i saw one in the autotrader for about

Get the L&K, and use a third of the money saved to get the engine remapped.

Then you get the performance of the vRS with all the toys and none of the tackiness... :D

.... as long as you don't want to stop or go round corners :P

Pretty sure the L&K has the same braking system as the vRS, just not in the same colour...

And in an L&K, you don't need to go round corners quickly as it's so comfortable you're not in a hurry to get out of it... :P

RS or L&K? Tough question!

I'd probably go for the second hand L&K use the

And insurance will be a lot cheaper too...

Not that I could drive an Octavia without my Max Power body kit ofcourse :D

vRS everytime for me,

L&K looks like one of the many Octy Cabs that are around everwhere!!!!

although i have to admit in Colchester there is a Black Octy vRS Taxi.
