Group buy 4 wind deflectors

Featured Replies

Wotcha every1, Ive read a quite a few posts re guarding wind deflectors:eek:

I think it would be an idea to arrange a group buy for this item, front and rear wind deflectors

I have no idea myself how to do this, but I know Im looking 4a set and others would put in as well;)

thanks Briskoda :handshke:

I'd be up for that depending on price. for a set of fronts

There's a sticky on what do when arranging a group buy in the Promotions and Group Buy section.

I just got a set of 4 for

UPDATE :- DON'T buy the J&J Auto ones from eBay just yet. I fitted them as per their instructions with 2 metal clips to each of the back windows and none to the fronts and the fronts keep moving into the path of the rising window at the back edge near the B-Pillar, and this has just resulted in the window cracking my OSF deflector. The front edge near the A-Pillar seems to seat OK, but I feel the back edge needs some clips to keep it located. I overdid it with the double-sided tape as the 4 tiny pieces they had put on looked woefully inadequate, so I applied some full-length of the area which sits inside the window groove and is supposed to adhere to the rubber surround. This obviously wasn't enough as I still have a broken deflector. They really need clips for the fronts too. I'll keep you updated on their responses.

Why would you need them with air con?

I find air con dries out my contact lenses and can make you tired on longer journeys

Fair comment :)

I've got them because when I'm teaching I have the windows open as like to have fresh air, and it means the learners can hear approaching cars when doing manoeuvres. This means I get wet seats when it rains and these were to allow fresh air without wet seats, until they broke :(

Do they really make that much of a difference?

It hasn't rained since I fitted them, but looking at them fitted I will be able to leave them open about 2" and not get wet seats. That is, if I keep them and they supply a new OSF and some fitting clips. If they refuse then they're going back !

Had something similar (but flusher) on a Mitsubishi Colt and they were excellent!

where did you get your from and how much did they cost?

Hmmm... they came from the dealer and fitted over the window seal as well as within it.

As for cost and make I'm not sure but will try and find out.

Climair do the type you have been looking at though and I think you can get them from GB auto accessories for about

Still awaiting the outcome from the broken one, but here they are on my car...

Sweet, if they all come tinted they will go sweet with the vRS SE ;):D

J&J are sending me a replacement along with more of the clips used on the rears to see if it will help the fronts stay in place better. Will let you know when it arrives.

OK, J&J on eBay have been very helpful and have sent me the clips required to securely fit the fronts, along with a replacement for the broken deflector, so I can now recommend them if anyone wants to dive in. I'd make sure you state on your eBay comments that as it's for a Fabia you are aware of fitting issues and request the extra 4 clips otherwise no trade. For now I've left the new deflector off the drivers window as the learners have trouble understanding why the window goes halfway back down after they've tried to put it up. As the deflectors slightly foul the proper path of the glass the trap protection kicks in, lowering the window. Simple enough to raise it back, but this flummox's many novice drivers :D

Sounds interesting!

Corradoboy, what Stock Car track were you hurtling round, then??!

Just had a closer look - Buxton, on the entrance to the Pits bend?

More of me on track elsewhere in the Fab Forum from last weekend :D
