The price of the Premium and the Core systems are about to be dropped ahead of the elite release.

A new Core system for example is

You can get a full black (or any other) skin for the 360, buy the 120 HDD, so its only really for the HDMI...there isnt that much difference between that and the VGA HD Cable.

Bit mad really (JMHO, dont take offence); I'd spend the money on a Wii or PS3.

It won't be long till they release the updated Core and Premium's with the HDMI ports at the new prices but I guess when depends on how much stock is out there of the old ones. I think that's when you'll get really good deals on old stock.

I saw a shot of a standard 360 a few days back that had an HDMI port already fitted. Given that MS pinned their colours to HD rather than Blu-Ray, supporting HD output is one of the additional ways they can stick it to Sony so I think it's just a matter of time before they all have them. The latest builds will have the revised heatpipe and GPU cooler, as well as chips fabricated on a smaller process so hopefully the overheating/red circle issues will start to fade out too. I'd definitely consider waiting for the current stock to run out to increase the chances of getting an uprated one
