I would love to get an RS, but really don't think that i could pull the money together to get one! I've been lookin at a 2.0l in Black magic pearl (Sweet colour!!). It all depends on the Moddifcations that can be done to the engine on the Octavia i get, body wise parts will be the same, and i was offered an RS interior the otherday, which i must say are sweet as...... the seats are just awsome, they seem to pull you in!!

Welcome Putra !

The signature is a picture of a Mic stand that the lead singer from the metal band 'Korn' use's, and yes it is a naked women, i just like it!!

Well i suppose i am, but i'm buildin my web site up into more of a Modify bible, cause i'm now at point were i believe cruzin, has lost what it had in the early 90's, these's days it the cruizin scene seems to be over run with Boy racers and idiots being dangerous!!

I seem to be more into modifying cars than cruzin, and i wanna modify an Octavia, There is one that has been to a couple of the Preston meets, which I believe is ffelan on here!?!?!?! Which I blame him, , cause it is Such a sweet motor :D !!

Cheers for the warm welcome every1!!

Putra, you need to buy a 1.8T-engined Octavia if you want to do some serious tuning. Early cable throttle engines are not as tuneable as later drive by wire ones, but you can still chip them to over 200bhp for a relatively modest outlay.

Over 200bhp!!!!! Cricky!! The car i have at the Mo is only about 150BHP!

As i said i'm new to the Skoda Scene so i'm not in with all the different Octavia's. The 1.8T is the RS??? or is there a lower spec 1.8T??, Please can you fill me in on this.

The vRS has an 180 bhp version of the 1.8T. Other Octavia models with that engine - including the 4X4 - have a 150 bhp version. But the latter versions can be chipped to give much the same power as the vRS since the engines are, to all intents, identical apart from the chip in the ECU. See below for what my car delivers after a remap. :D

PS I am talking about the drive by wire versions of the 1.8T which is what all post-2000/2001-ish versions are..
