Hi to everyone. I found this site via googlewhen I was looking for info on a Fabia.

If I had the internet and this site url 15 years ago when I had my Estelle 120, I`m sure it would have saved me some grazed knuckles!

I ventured on this site to see if there would be a comparison twix the 1.4 8 and 16 valve version with regard to reliability. Got a little bit concerned over tales of head gasket failure and piston ring replacement, but that must be the consequence of having a really good site to bring issues to. Is one engine more reliable than the other?

I ask this because I am going to buy a Fabia 1.4 Classic and would be gratefull of any advice or experience. I apologise if there is a thread for this, I am still plouing my way through.
