My brake pedal seems to travel well over half way before the brakes start to work. Is this the norm on a vRS?

I've had them bled twice without any improvement.

The do seem soft - but not spongy. I'm not sure if its me just not used to ABS.

The car does stop OK'ish - but I was just expecting a firmer feel and a more instant response.

The pads look nearly new and the disc's have plenty of life left in them (only done 14.5k)

Poss pads are knackered.

Poss pads/discs are glazed from long period of inuse.

Poss still air in system - take it out and do a few hard stops to get the ABS working if poss on a slippery surface like a grass field (Colin reckons this works)

I assume it's new fluid?
