New to Briskoda

I came across Briskoda a few weeks back and since then I've found the forums very informative.

I have a 01 Octavia 1.8T Elegance in silver, I've owned the car since December and I have to say I'm most impressed. I've even followed the advice in the forums and changed the front speakers for the Infinitys which was an effortless upgrade and IMO well worth the

OK, I'm a RS owner but I'll answer anyway :D

It depends why you are having the upgrade done. I you trying to improve it cross country, for general "waftability", or for track use? How you answer that will determine what you may need to do to the suspension.

I'm assuming that in terms of ride it is similar to the 4X4 or possibly slightly stiffer.

For general use ie the "waftablility" then no it'll be fine as is

For cross country, well depending on how you drive (aggressive/passive mix) then possibly you may want to do something with it

For track use, yep, stiffen the front

So on balance, in my totally uneducated / ill-informed opinion, no you don't need to do anything after chiiping, or at least not immediately

:D
