When I bought the car I never noticed at the time that the passenger fog light lens has a few cracks in it... would you guys know if it is possible to just buy a new lens or do I have to buy the complete unit.

Are they easy to swop?

What model? A few details wouldnt hurt.

However they are a complete lamp unit, vRS is different and fits differently.

VRS 04 fog light unit is £60 ish and £60 ish to fit as front bumper needs to be removed.... i think...

don't think you would need to remove the bumper,the insert round the fog just pops out[the towing eye screws in here]and to me it just looks like a simple job to remove and replace the unit,this isn't gospel tho but i'm sure some one will say for sure:thumbup:

You can also get them from numerous UK ebay stores for £30-odd too..... Just have a look for VW Lupo foglight as they're the same one's on the Fabia vRS. I have two permanantly on my watch list as the mrs' vRS has a broken lense at the moment.... Will probably wait till it's first MOT next year before getting it done etc....

I have one in the garage, slightly sandblasted looking due to a few miles, when I broke the other one I just changed the pair, Will have a look in the garage tomorrow and see which side it it as I cant remember off the top of my head.

And unless you have the hands of a baby the bumper really does need to come off.

If it's only cracked and not a missing a piece, why not glue it? No need to remove. Plastic cement from model shop in a bottle and paint over the whole with an artist's brush, making sure that it goes into the cracks.

It is close to getting to MOT time so if it is just glued surely they would fail it?

I may be wrong but an MOT I dont think checks the front foglamps, there is no requirement for them, only the rears and there only needs to be one of them,
