I've bought yesterday a second hand Octavia. It's a 2005 model, 1.6 FSI Elegance.

Unfortunately it hasn't got Maxidot, so I could not play with all the settings (shame, I'd like to enable anti hijacking).

Quite happy with it so far, and I've been to Halfords and got a few autoglym products, following all the threads on the car care section.

I've already done the climatronics OFF trick though

I have a little dent between the nearside rear wheel arch and the rear door. Hardly visible when I bought the car, so didn't notice it. Since then, every time I look at it I spot more and more little scratches

If you don't mind the journey to Portsmouth JKM will look after your non franchise servicing. If you want Skoda servicing then Sparshatts of Chichester are good.
