I havent got the money to buy a EGR blanking kit (allard pipe).

So how do you code the EGR out and is there power gains to be had???

use vagcom cable software. see Fabia-vrs.com - Coding Options

older ECU's can be coded down to 5% EGR duty cycle, newer one to 10% (ECU limits)

Benefits:

smoother idle

tad more power sensed

less smoke (esp when remapped)

less gumming up of the intake section

{EDIT}Oh and you dont get a constant CEL with the adaptation, which you do with the proper Allard's pipe...
