Thanks Steve...

For all your hard work, and organisation. It paid off. We all had a great time, and apart from some minor misfortunes which will soon be forgotten, nothing went wrong.

Well done for putting up with all the leg-pulling, daft questions ("what time do they turn the fountain on in the morning?" has to be the best ) and inevitable headaches.

From me also thanks to Q for being a great mate, and all the fun driving the beast, and to those who lent me their cars - Jason, Alan, Steve (again), and anyone else I've forgotten. Barry and the Old Devils for great company in the evenings, and Will for the entertainment :D

Sounds like a bit of a laugh!

So come on then Nick, what misfortunes? :P

Thanks again to Steve for organising the trip.

Yes, many thanks Steve. Loads to arrange and all went pretty smoothly. A fantastic time

Many thanks Steve!

So you are all back then, I am curious about the mishaps and what happened.

Well, the "secure parking" we were all promised turned out to be nothing more than a normal outdoor car park with a motorised barrier. No fence to keep your car secure, nor any 24hr surveillance as originally told.

Result of this was that Q had his wing mirror nicked within a few days, and on the day we were leaving, we all came out to pack our cars for the journey home to discover Peter's window smashed with the OEM Skoda satnav unit / stereo missing

Bugger!

Another massive thanks to Steve for all his hard work - what a fantastic time we had.

I can't begin to imagine how much effort went into sorting out the hotel, T-shirts, stickers, factory tour, museum tour, airfield meets, Doksy meet, a meal out with the Skodahome guys and probably much more besides.

And its now official - Steve can organise a pi$$-up in a brewery

Finally, thanks to everyone else on the trip for some great company and some even bigger laughs. Highlights for me were Tigger's escalator ride, the tram surfing, Gilly's testicle sandwich, and Mrs Moony's 125mph airfield run without her "L" plates on!!

Blimey, so a bit of ball ache then... :(

Maybe next year will be even better! :)

Haha yes!

Hotel £135

Fuel £100s

Beer £undisclosed

Sightseeing tuppence ha'penny

The look on Paul's face as his learner driver missus went past at 125mph when he thought she was just having some driving practice on the taxiways - priceless!

Sorry to hear about Q´s mirror and Peter´s satnav. Shame :worried:

Since Thu we tried to find some really secure place round the hotel, but no chance for so many cars...:(

I forgot to say a big thanks to Petr, Michal and his Skodahome friends who made us so welcome, chaperoned us to and from the airfield, used up their entire sticker and model stock, hosted us on their stand at Doksy, organised a lovely meal for us and so much more. Hope to see you again sometime soon :handshke:

Sounds like you all had a good time - 3 cheers for Steve :woot:

Thanks for sorting this out Steve, and just a reminder for a certain member in your car:

Speeding - We saw a few unmarked German Police 3 series BMW's

:321: :D .

To Echo the above,

My thanks and those from Dad & Mick (aka the Old Devils)

A well organised trip with everything as it should have been. I think it's worth noting that organising such a trip has taken up a considerable amount of time & effort on Steve's part to ensure all was in order.

A lot of great memories for me, including the smile on my Dad's face whilst doing in excess of 110 on the Autobahn - Great :D

THANKS!!

I would like to thank you Steve for organising the trip,I must say I wasn't very excited about going and being a passenger for all those miles, however it was absolutely brilliant and I would go again, but next time I will not be a learner. The company was really enjoyable, city was great, adrenaline rush from the airfield was class, food was beautiful in italian restaraunt I could go on and on.......

Thanks guys, really appreciate the comments but it was a pleasure to do and I enjoyed the build up to going this year almost as much as actually taking part on it!.

Like anything, events like these are as good as the people that go on them and with the diverse mix of people we had it was great to see everyone have a good time.

Special thanks should go to Petr for providing me constant assistance ansd help with all things Czech as well as being a friend :) .

Finaly, to all those that have supported me throughout the past few days I give my whole hearted thanks

Damn, seems like I'm always last to the party... yes, the words loooooser spring to mind :D

I too would like to thank Steve for organising the trip of a lifetime  Bring on Czech Trek 2009!
