Still need official figures from a RR, but this seems to be the norm from a Stage 1 Revo Remap. :)

The Verdict

In short, this is the way she should have came from the factory... not to mention being a perfect sleeper! :D

I switched the car back to standard the other day, and couldn't believe how sluggish she felt... standard cars :thumbdwn:

The Remap has given my car a Diesel'like grunt to it... and she just keeps on accelerating until about 6k before backing off slightly... and that's in any gear. :)

Fuel economy hasn't suffered, I'd go as far to say that it's actually improved somewhat... I regularly get about 37 miles to the gallon on average, but that's mostly at motorway speeds.

The Forge Short-Shift was quickly replaced with a Neuspeed one... big difference there and almost as smooth as the OEM one - and the torque arm insert has made the car feel more responsive when you put your foot down!

Splashing out for the Eibach/FSD combo with a Neuspeed ARB was one of my better purchases... car handles like a leach on the twisty's and is prone to a little lift-off over-steer if you're feeling brave. ;)

Many thanks to Awesome GTi (Top class job despite the looooong wait) and Dave at ADS Tuning at Preston for carrying out the work. ;)

Don't think about modding your car.... DO IT!!!

Looking nice, just hope you migrate the hand washing at some point during ownership :D

Added a quick review on the first post... my car's finished now as I've decided I'm not going any further with her :)

Houses, Marriage and a possibility of a lease car in work have all come up... so she could be in the For Sale Section pretty soon.

watch this space ;)

Does seem like a nicely fettled car Paul!!!

First dibs on some of the bits! :P

They're all staying with the car mate... she's getting sold as is because i think it'll be a nice little car for somebody... subtle mods but still economical

If that plan fails... dib noted :D:rofl:

Out of interest how much did all that set you back?

Hmmm, I'd say about £2000 spent with about £1000 on having it fitted etc. :o

Yes I know I'm not going to get it back ;)

But I had to do it at least once in my life... and to be fair I wouldn't wish a standard Octy on anybody after driving mine :)

Hmmmmm more temptation....

Mines bog standard (bar pipercross panel filter) and I love it to bits .... guess the old saying 'you don't miss what you've never had' is bob on

I agree John, I love mine to bits and its pretty much standard - not to say it will be like that for long mind ;)
