The thing to remember with ESP is this.

No matter how good the system is, it cannot overcome the laws of physics.

Going round the tractor I got a proper tank slapper (or the beginnings of an expensive painful one anyway) and the car swung one way, and instead of coming round the other way and having me off into the scenery came sweetly into line again. You could feel it grabbing the different brakes. I was tres impressed. So was the tractor driver.

Hollering into roundabouts too fast is different, if you've got lots more speed than grip, then you'll be off, - ESP or not.

lol.... explaining a "remap" to my insurance company was an interesting experiance too! ... and there are discounts, my car has a 1.9lt TD with 130 bhp, just like my old vRS, same price new ect.... and my ESP can't be turned off (tho the ASR can) and my vRS was group 9 and cost me £460 to insure, and my GP spoting is group 6, and costs me £295 to insure........ bargin!
