1993 Lxi Favorit

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

can anyone give me any details on the above model?

firstly is it a carbrettor model ?????

also whats the inside spec like ???

93 gonna be about 95% surely a cat/injection model

inside you'll have a clock where the rev counter goes, thin black seats, no lower centre console and no front foglight switch.

and rougher doorcard fabric and 4" round speakers in the doors, which will be useless.

the i in lxi means it is injection!

*d'oh* of course. 100% definite then. lol.

no rev counter in a Lxi ????? surely there is and no lower centre console, will cry now !!!!!! lol

My 1995 Favorit LXiE has a rev counter!

No centre console though - and steel wheels instead of alloys.

Martin.

Thats because its an LxiE..

The E is a different engine code, stands for Economy!

I had a minter, ill post some pics...

The E doesn't really stand for economy LOL

its the differing designation between a low and high power car - the E model has 67bhp as opposed to the 58 of the standard i model...

and yah, no rev counter. sucks bigtime.

Im nearly 99.9% sure when they sold them, the E was a sales thing, to show there "economical"....

Nope Youngsyd its as Surprisingskod says the E is 67bhp as i have a 94 Fav LXiE and manual has sticker in it saying Engine 136B and Type 50KW 67BHP

I can agree with the above. The '94 Favorit LXie I had was the 67bhp engine, with no rev counter and no centre console. Although the 4" speakers were replaced with some pioneer ones by a previous owner, and it didn't sound too bad (compared to my 22 year old 4" dash speakers in my audi).

Spec wise it had no central locking, manual windows, and no cigar lighter, but it did have a 5 speed gearbox and a sunroof :) Oh and the rear seats fold down too. It didn't have power steering either, but tbh you really don't need it.

It didn't have power steering either

Central locking was only fitted to the "higher spec" models eg: CD,GLXiE Flairline, Silverline, Blackline and Qualitaire models to my knowledge.

Electric windows as far as I know were never an option but there is a knock out panel behind the gear selector where such switches could be fitted, and maybe the felicia elecric windows/wiring will fit a favorit.

Also, power steering was never an option, even on the top spec models, nor was ABS.

Its correct that the "E" suffix on the model trim means "high compression engine"
