With my old Skoda Cabrio sold and making its way to the Czech Republic, I needed another carto replace it. I'd known about this 1 being for sale for a while, so I made enquiries about it and bought it.

Its a 1989 Skoda Rapid 136 that was originally Regal Red, but as all Skoda owners know, Regal Red fades badly, so the previous owner decided to respray it, YELLOW!!!!

It was fitted with a set of white 13" minilights, but i've since fitted the 15" Empi's that were on my Cabrio. It has the Rapid 'SPORT' skirt kit fitted along with an Ellri Racing Line front bumper, a rare rear spoiler, and the 'ULTRA RARE' Autoplas rear window louvre.

Inside it had a pair of Rover half leather front seats fitted, but these have been replaced with a set of standard Rapid purple seats.

The engine is a 136 (1289cc) fitted with a Weber carb and Pipercross air filter, the exhaust is a Group A Ashley system.

It has been lowered all round and has a set of AVO shox fitted.

Saw that at Stanford Hall, last year...Very nice car, and quick if i remember rightly...

Much prefer it to the Cabrio, but its personal opinion...!

Do you like the front bumper?

Do not know what it is like to drive yet, will know in a few hours as going to get it taxed but have been warned to take it easy as it wil be a lot quicker than the cabrio.......

We got rapid sorted today and I had my first ride in it, didn't take it very far as I must admit it scared me, but it was brillant alot faster and alot more fun than cabrio...can't wait to take it to meets...
