312mm tt brakes fitted

Featured Replies

nowt, leave em alone.

they do sod all as it is, a great mechanic once told me not to bother as bigger brakes wil do nothing but look pretty on the rear if you already have discs. if they are too big then they simply do less work and as they move and do so little they can seize causing you lots fo problems.

so yes they weedy, yes bigger ones look cool but there's no point as a vast majority of the braking is done with the fronts.

maybe just better pads then? eg Mintex?

me me me!! how much are the discs new? :D and where :D

Which discs? OEM are around £95 a pair IIRC. Where? Skoda/Audi/VW dealer, or various places online.

There is a guy who comes on here called Golfturbo who can get the kits complete. Might be worth dropping him a PM.

Details of what's included can be found here - Fabia-vrs.com - 312mm Brake Upgrade Kits

Glad you got that set in the end - seemed a good buy :)

You don't seem that far away, so pop down nearer Manc if you want to see how Eibach/FSDs perform :)

from what i've been told the whole lot brand new would be in the region of £600 and don't bother getting anyone to fit them do it yourself, lummux[i think] did a how too with pictures and everything for those who arn't tech minded, but it really is very easy everything just bolts on you even use the original lines simple:D

Indeed there is a guide. It's in the Technical Guides section, or click here
