That's what the chap in CZ had done. Tank out, and whole boot had been removed, and there was a single piece of iron going across to which the haldex had been attached. Looking at that pic, it looks as if the spring cups are in a similar spot to the furby, which might be advantageous.

Just checked on the net. There's just 1.3" difference in wheelbase between the TT and the fabia, but around 4" wider, which could just be down to tyres/wheels choice. Almost sounds easier to chop off the bottom of a fabia and just stick on a TT rolling chassis.
