Sad sac :P

But, honest, a piece of pi*s with a silver Fabby. One of my neighbours comments every time on passing "You cleaned that again !"

All I do is wash the wheels once a week (mebbe more when conditions are bad, sometimes give rear a quick once over) and then the whole car probably every 2 weeks.

Stuff having a Black Magic - 'clean every day' car :thumbdwn:

Ye black is a pain of a color to wash

My neighbour says, "Youll wash the colour out of that" I wash the car easily twice a week, if not more:D I get reet in the arches and on the door sills when I wash it too. Then when Im done, its onto the engine bay / interior (I alternate between the two):D

There will never be a game that beats Manic Miner on the CPC464, i had an emulator on the PC and still couldn't complete the damn thing.

very true, but how good does it look when it's gleaming

What Xbox Halo did so well was the vehicles, AI, and general ambience. Yes you can look at it now and see a lot of flaws, but for the time it was groundbreaking stuff, and well deserving of the Edge 10/10 rating.

Groundbreaking on a console maybe - does no-one remember multiplayer Tribes on the PC? We used to play it in the office after work back in 2000/2001, brilliant fun.

what about roland in time? or in caves? how damn hard were they!

Does it get a sort of Halo around it ?

Or is that just the sweat from washing it, coursing down over your eyes and distorting your vision :D

OMG..yeah haha my memory is awakened of fond things around those years now :)

There is something about waiting a long time for the tape to play / load to get monochrome interaction from a few keys. Simple mind challenges that are without the complication of triggers, buttons, sticks and pad combinations.

I guess the question is, are we getting to old or have we as a race evolved in our ability / challenges.

The other day I was talking about a mmorpg we used to play (called asheron call) now the new gen mmorpg's are good, thye don't have some of that old simple "magic", the thing that works...I'd bet an afternoon in the caves with Roland would feel very odd now; but also very engaging in a odd way; which I can't quite express.

So is h3 worth getting, xbox version of course.

After playing it last night I would say yes.

If you get Halo 3 from Blockbuster it is £35 for the next 9 days.

i went back to my snes a while back and i found allot of the games very very hard. they are sooo simple to be very frustrating! with newer games you can attack a problem via so many ways it becomes easier to progress.

and yes halo is worth it from what ive seen and heard! tempting to buy a black 360 now :D

Can of spray paint and yesterdays free paper should do it ;)

Halo 3 arrived yesterday in the post, so played it a bit last night.

First couple of levels are the same old thing, but after that gets much more interesting.

The ability to replay your save-movies is excellent. Haven't tried the multiplayer yet (I'll wait till I'm better on single player), but the foundations look excellent.

It is a great game, but if you didn't like Halo 1 or 2 this won't convert you.

I went back to the NES a couple of month ago, fantastic fun:D

Old Nintendos rock.

I have a full set here , and plenty of games

I got Halo 3, not too keen on it if I'm honest. Maybe I'm just getting old and too used to playing FPS on the PC where the mouse is much more accurate.

I've always disliked FPS games on consoles - tiny thumbsticks are awful compared to a keyboard and mouse - but resident evil on the Wii is outstanding.

The nunchuck is perfect for movement and the "point and shoot" with the wiimote can't be beaten. Headshots a plenty :D

Thats what make it more fun on the console and the game lasts a bit longer (not as accurate) :)

Since been playing FPS on the console I enjoy it better and have more of a laugh, you don't get as much hard core people on the console voting you off etc etc

I'm not very good at getting both hands to do different things at the same time (which is why I can't play instruments very well), so I find the use of a single controller easier than trying to move a mouse and press keyboard keys all at once

I have found so far when playing online when I get excited when attacking or getting attacked (as you do) I tend to press the zoom button (press down on right movement stick) :P

Then I go into a joypad button bashing time lol

Oh, That's right, you bloody Xbox 360 geeks, go ahead and gloat just coz you have actual games that enetertain you for your reasonably priced system!

I will sit back and scoff with My far more powerful PS3 gathering dust under the television. Do you realise that the PS3 does full 1080P rendering of erm stuff? As soon as a decent game is released I will laugh at your puny windows based box of tricks. I am literally surrounding myself with smugness due to the fact that I spent so much money on a state of the art next gen console that will have much better games and graphics than the Xbox 360. Ha! it will though, honest! won't it? even just one decent game would do, really. Please?

rofl :thumbup: you just made night

Roland on the ropes..now theres a blast from the past. I can still remember the sound the thing made when going up and down ropes. I think i still have that in the attic.........

Halo 3 is good, don't expect anything groundbreaking though, i got gears of war and GRAW 2 for £40 in Gamestation and Graw is brilliant, thats what Halo 3 should of been. The thing that annoys me with halo is that your path is choosen for you, very call of duty like. In that respect i guess we haven't come that far from Roland or Manic miner

I'll swap you my xbox for you ps3......................it will probably stop me wasting my time of an evening and do something proactive

well I just got mine today - I'm not keen on them having moved the "reload" button
