Re: Halo 3, my son is 9 (10 in a few weeks), and is somewhat addicted to his XBOX console - we now limit his use of it. However, just recently he has been banging on about wanting Halo 3. I see it's a 15 rating - he reckons mates of his from school play it. You guys have obviously played it, what do you think - suitable, or unsuitable?

BTW - Apologies for the [slight] thread hijack, it is almost on topic though

there is only violence and some bad language i think ..im near the end now lol cant remember much bout it  .. i probably wouldnt let him play it but thats just me ... what other games does he play

It isn't as bad as Gears of War or Crackdown if you let your lad play them.

My eldest is 7 and I won't let him play it, but it is close. I reckon I would let a 9 year old play it.

Cheer for the replies, still undecided though! We try not to let him play anything older than a 12 usually, but some 15's are often OK'ish. I guess I will have to think about buying it and playing it myself first :D

my son is 15 and he plays 'em all:eek: think maybe 9 is a bit young tho.

Its hard I think to stop kids seeing gore and violence, especially with all the carp on tv, God I watched Creep last night, very disturbing film I thought ,and I had nightmares:eek: maybe the bottle of cider did not help tho!
