Mystery Warning Light

Featured Replies

I have a 2007 model L&K Tdi.

I have noticed on the speedometer what I think would be a yellow warning light. I doesn't light up with the rest when turning on the ignition and it not detailed in the hand book.

It shows a picture of what looks like a car seat with an arrow pointing to the rear of the upright portion. Any body noticed it and what does it mean? Any ideas, I am facinated to know !

I think it is an indication that your rear seats haven't been secured properly if you have had them folded down.

Just check they have 'locked' into place.

/\ Yup. My 05MY Fabia vRS has a red one just like that. If the rear seats are folded down, it stays lit for a minute or so after the car is started...

wow.. there's gonna be a lot of people folding their seats down tonight, just to see the light :D just when i think i've found out all the little neat things about my octavia, another one pops up!

Tried putting one seat back down, no light came on with ignition. Maybe doesn't apply to my vehicle as doesn't light up with ignition. Does anybody have it lighting up on their's ?

Is it get your seats in the upright position for landing!

I have got a MY2007 L&K, and I've had the seats down...but never had that warning light come on!

Not all lights are illuminated on all models. The cruise control light for instance wasn't used on pre 2007MY cars.

Mine doesn't come on with the pre-ignition lamp test; only when the seats are down...

Stu,

When you say the Cruise control light wasn't used with pre MY07 year cars, do you mean that the facility is there, but that it just wasn't "hooked-up" elctronically, as with the n/s high-intensity rear light??????

I certainly haven't found a way of making it work. If you look at the dash you can see the symbol but I'm assuming the firmware doesn't allow for it.
