Hey all

Hi, just joined to do a little research on the Octavia.

Currently driving an ailing Vauxhall Astra 2.0DTi, not keen on the Vectra and a new job means a few more motorway miles than I'm comfortable doing in an Astra.

Vauxhall is such a dirty word. Octavia is your friend. Welcome

Welcome

Loads of good info on here!

Hiya.

The only place the Octy is not better than the Vectra [similar models](and I've driven both over the same 60 mile route) is rear seat space.

Welcome.

It would seem that you have just decided on your new car  :P

That's fine, I generally sit in the front when I'm driving. :)

Hi

Scrounge a drive from a friend, go on an extended Dealer test drive on motorways in particular if poss if you're going to be doing a lot of motorway miles.

Vectra is a dirty word too (usually has two officers sat in them around here);)

Oddly, the PSNI (which I'm about to start working for) is just getting some new Octavia vRS TDi to replace the last of their Omegas. Joining the marked fleet of Vectra 2.2 petrols and 1.9CDTi's.

Problem with Octys over here in Belfast is getting one - they're all being snapped up by the damned taxi drivers, or are 90PS TDi pauper-specs.

hi and welcome to briskoda...

good choice if you can get a 130bhp but bit like hens teeth here... :D

 Welcome.....You`ll be back with an Octy soon

Phil
