The truth about Fabia RS 0-100km/h

Just read this....

If it was the OP's car, and he says it is 'stock', why does his sig. say his car is 160bhp?

If it was, and it is, if I were him I would be mightily disappointed.

If it wasn't, and it isn't, who really cares, and what difference does it make?

Sharp eye, I didn't even notice :)

I've removed the tuned software a few weeks ago because of a lot of mechanical problems hoping that would make the car less suspicious at the dealers.

Not only did they NOT fix anything, they "can't" find anything wrong with the car.

As it turns out, the original software produces no smoke whatsoever, where the tuned software made clouds and clouds, and I LIKE the no-smoke mode, the same as I like going full throttle not worrying that the turbine is about to blow up.

That was 500 eur down the drain and, not killing, but seriousy wearing out the whole transmission/suspension system...

The point of my vid was, as someone correctly guessed, to kill the "it goes 7-8s stock" lie :D

did what car magazine or something like that not do different test runs and get 7. on a really cold day saying the car was breathing better or something...i don't want someone to jump down my throat saying BullS*&t but i sware i read that somewhere....

stu

Cars run better on colder days anyway, because the air is denser, meaning more oxygen per whatever they measure it by.

Juka, I can't really see a slight increase in power causing lots of mechanical problems, although I suppose it depends on what you twiddled with.

Talk about the devil, I just studied thermodynamics and thrown a quick calculation :) air at -15°C is ~16% denser than air at 25°C. If you play it linearly and say the car is also 16% stronger, that makes a standard fabia RS 20hp more powerful :D I don't know about the power figures, but I'm sure about the air density.

I did not touch a single thing on the car, except of the remap from 131-164hp, measured 156hp. I've posted a few threads with my problems, and as I said, I'm prolly driving around with a busted flywheel, clutch cylinder, broken suspension and who knows what else :(

The car is perfectly fine if you only need it to stop, go and corner. But it does all of that like a 20 year old french car.
