The truth about Fabia RS 0-100km/h

Featured Replies

A 100% stock Fabia vRS, 5 measurements, highway, both directions, measured frame by frame.

If I hear just ONE comment that it CAN go lower... I'll just reply, IT CAN'T :)

Try it with asr off :D

Chris

leaving ASR on doesnt help!

it depends on the state of the car when its timed, skoda do it with a pasengers, loads of fuel, luggage etc i think so obviously it can go lower with less weight in it :)

I agree with the above. Turn the asr off. Also, don't rev it so high, you're wasting time revving it almost to the redline imo.

turn the asr off, and dont rev up to the redline. 4k is more than enough on a standard vrs. I could get it quicker than 9.3 seconds. :P

what are you towing it with? :P

I agree, there's no point going any higher than 4k really!

(Im pretty sure that time could be chopped slightly :) )

ASR off isn't going to make the world of difference. Factory figures, and thank god somebody is proving that it doesn't to 60 in 7 seconds.

ASR off isn't going to make the world of difference.

ASR off makes a huge difference.

Agree

On my many many runs at Santa Pod I find TCS off is better.

would having the lights off help.... and doing during the day.....

Urm ASR off makes at least 1 second difference as it totally kills the performance. And that's with decent tyres. If you have the slightest loss of grip, your engine power is cut.

I average 8.4 secs with ASR off.

My car is standard.

Why are you taking it to 4.5k as well I find it better to change at just under 4k.

Yeah it makes sence, as thats where the peak horespower is at...anything over that is pretty pointless!

ASR off makes a huge difference.

What would I know? I only had one.

I have one and know it makes a difference. So what's your point?

Wow, what conclusive proof.

8.5s is more realistic if you know how to drive them. In those vids you can see the revs being held back by the ASR.

Oh dear...

I wonder if Skoda perform the 0-60 with traction control on or off? Might explain the discrepancies in owner's figures....

Chris

Would need to be a hefty machine to tow the fabia, its a heavy little bugger ;)

I think if a 2.0l were to tow a vrs that would get the 0-60 time down a little ;)
