Was the roof actually painted white or was it the sticky protection plastic still attached (were the wing mirrors white too?). I ask becasue I had a new fabia as a courtousy car the other day. It was the orangy colour and as I walked up saw it had a white roof. thought that looks nice but when got close up found out it was just the white protection plastic still attached (obviously left on to protect paintwork- perhaps to allow easier resale once it stopped being garage owned!). So when you got close looked very tacky as the edges were rough and you could see actual paint colour around ariel etc where it was not perfectly cut.

the fabia will be able to be spec'd with a factory white roof from 2008 iirc

weve looked into doing it here and its either a vinyl one for cheapness or a fully painted one for longlivity

There were some Fabia adverts in the press over the weekend stating the white roof will be £350.

Deffo painted, in the showroom and not awaiting prep or just off transporter.

They had the Roomster Scout in the showroom long before any of the other local dealers had one. So maybe the MD has friends in high places at Skoda HQ.

When we did the factory tour, in the fields and fields of fabia II's there was only one with a white roof!

LOL Zooty - ppl just stop and stare, or even point! At one point a whole crocodile of about 200 schoolkids, down by the canal, started clapping and shouting "cake car, cake car"!

I got the exhaust tip and the "diffuser" today, and my car was at checkpoint 5 out of 8 in production at the Mlada Boleslav factory this morning..

the white roof is now a proper option on level 2 and 3 fabias if anyone interested!

the colour options are: Satin Grey, Black Magic, Tangerine, Anthracite Grey, Storm Blue, Highland Green,Corrida Red and Dynamic Blue

dunno chap, i think there is a restriction on colours for the moment until they have spooled up the production lines properly

Ants - thanks for giving us at least an idea of what the next furby vRS may look like... if it ever gets made. I never did like the new shape; but I have to admit, that looks pretty smart with the spoiler and vRS exhaust.

I was followed out of The Galeries shopping centre MSCP today by a bronze Fab 2 with a white roof on an 07 plate, it looked pretty neat.
