just crashed my car :(

Featured Replies

to be fair im one of the last out of all my friends but i have crashed my little felicia into a ka at a drive through

we exchanged names and numbers and addresses, there was no damage to her car apart from a scuffed bumper and the licene plate came off on one side, looks like just superfiial damage at the most gonna need a new bumper

my front grille is smashed in and my right indicator popped apart and my bonnet popped up a bit on that side could cost a bit to repair

was there anything else we should have done like take pictures or anything?any ideas how much a new bumper for a ka would cost save having to go through the insurance cos an 18 year old with 3 points and a crash is gonna be pretty hard to insure

was it a colour matched bumper on the ka

or the nasty black/grey colour ones.

oh no dude! gutted :(:(:(

bad luck mate.

you could have taken some photos, they always help if they try and do you for more damage than you actually did.

A few felicia crashes happening lately!!

Yeh i would have taken photos if i were you mate... like pinkskud said, always helps if they try and screw you for more damage than you actually did!

Bumper for Ka should be pretty cheap as they're just plastic... you ever seen a Ka without a bumper on?? Its shocking... there's just nothing to the car at all, would hate to be in a proper crash on one!!

Just look on ebay... few bits and bobs going... depends which part of the bumper is damaged as the Ka bumpers are in three sections...

eBay.co.uk - ka bumper, ka, Car Parts, Car Tuning Styling items at low prices

My friend once had someone go into the back of her in her Ka and the middle bumper section just popped out of place... so we clicked it back in and all was good.

called me today they want £490 for a new colour coded one with fitting at ford, and refused to go anywhere else than that so i thought f**k that ill just pay the £135 for my excess, a mate of mine wrote off two cars and a wall and his insurance only went up by £20, and ive only had the policy for 2 months so im not really losing any no claims there

i did think about taking pictures but it was dark and my phone had low battery on it, there was practically no damage mind just a few scuffs it prob would have been ok if it wasnt cos its a new car

my felly is alright now, my dad had a look while i was at work and the grille has been glued back together and so have my indicators, gonna take the grille off again tomorrow to bend it back out as the brackts holding it on are bent thats why my bonnet doesnt close properly, could do with a new bumper to be fair its pretty messed up to be fair, ill take a picture of it now when i can find my camera lead

well i took a picture it didnt really show much so heres a video i took on my phone

It might end up being that insurance won't pay for a full new bumper if a repair can be done, but at least if it goes through insurance it will save them complaining. Let them deal with the insurance company :)

Could maybe get some front fogs then that cracked grille won't matter so much.
