vRS mat fixings - Push studs or twist fixings

Featured Replies

Which have you got? Like everything on my car, it seems, I've got something different from everyone else (twist fixings), which is making it impossible to find a set of genuine mats that fix in :(

Interested to know if anyone else has a 2007 MY vRS, with twist fixings, and a set of mats in it!!?

My vRS is 2007MY with OEM mats with push fit 'poppers'.

Nothing to twist and shout about!

For further ID, my mats are mid/dark grey with sliver/cream piping around the edges.

thanks...sounds just like the ones i'm after. the skoda accessories site lists the vRS mats with two separate part numbers, for each fixing type (the ones i want end with a "7"), but every time i order them in the dealers they turn up the wrong type (but in a bag with the correct part number on them)

Does it really matter whether they are push or twist fit?

They're mats and they're securely fixed - aren't they?

Mine are the twist type. The VRs mats should come with the car in the first place so what's the problem?

Mine are push fit, tidy...

Yes indeed, your car should have come with mats from the factory.

My Octy estate has the twist variety.

Yes, it matters because only one type of mat will fit on one type of fixing. I am aware that they should have been in the car from new, but they weren't, so I want to buy some.

Perhaps I should rephrase the question: Has anyone succesfully bought vRS mats with the twist fixings, from the accessories catalogue, as opposed to having them in the car when you got it?

Instead of ordering from the accessories book order by chassis number as a spare part.

thanks stu, but unfortunately that's exactly what they did 1st time around when ordering the mats (the order went in at the same time as the mp3 stream). 2nd time we went for a standard catalogue order and wrong mats turned up again. what is it with my car and missing parts?!? :o

06 vRS and go the twisty ones :)

Yep another 06 here with twist type fixings

Same here 06 vRS with Twist type fixings .. :)

ok - thanks guys. so it's not as uncommon as the dealer would have me believe!! I'll keep pestering for them..

Just for reference:

I got to the bottom of this. (The dealer tells me...) the part numbers are listed the wrong way around on the website:

?koda Accessories

it should read:

Carpet Mats - with vRS logo with stud fixings - ZGB1Z3061247

Carpet Mats - with vRS logo with twist fixings - ZGB1Z3061246

Mine are twisty type - 2007MY Estate (not vRS).

Can you not change the fixing type? The twisty fixings screw into the carpet, I believe.

Nope, tried that! The fixings in the carpet are actually in two pieces that snap together - half of which is under the carpet. You'd have to remove the door sill trim etc.. to get your hands under the carpet to slip the bottom half out :(
