vRS SE for sale on Motorpoint for

Featured Replies

Never used Motorpoint, but if anyone's interested they've got a SE with 4k on the clock for £10799 just now. Decent deal? Can't tell which of their sites it's in though!

Sounds like a pretty good price... can't see it being there for long :)

I think most of the VRS's that went through Motorpoint were Malta cars which means the Warranty would be different.

I did wonder about this too, but wasn't sure if the SE was a UK-only run?

Well there were photos on here in one of the orignal "What wil the SE be like" threads of a french version for sale in a french dealer. They were taken in France, maybe by a frenchman :D

Was his name Frenchie?

Was his name Frenchie?

Could have been.

Definately wasn't Welshy.

yes ... there have been alternative 'special' editions available in other countries.

Their new cars tend to be sourced from malta. The used cars they sell are usually part exchanges, so most likely a UK car unless it was sold by them originally.

Saw at an SE at Motorpoint Burnley earlier this week, did my best not to notice how much nicer the leather seats look than my standard ones...whilst reminding myself I went there to look at people carriers :(

You know you want the the vRS SE :orb_hypno

I thought the other "special edition" was Swiss ?

It was the one with the two-tone seats.

Just to let you know that this car is now SOLD!

Jenny and I went to have a look at it on Sunday.

It's full UK spec and had just 4100 miles on the clock.

There was a bit of a scrape on the kerbside rear passenger door and bumper but Motorpoint noted this and will get the marks out during the PDI.

Jenny's p/ex-ing her 06' plate Octy VRS for this (which she also bought from Motorpoint (Maltese import)) as she feels the need to downsize and watch the pennies a bit.

To say I'm jealous is an understatement.

I plucked the fabric on my red VRS this weekend so I see a trip to Seat Surgeons round the corner...

Got my vrs from Motorpoint. £10999 with delivery mileage. Mats and wheelnut covers where still in their polythene wrapping.

A pleasant buying experience, apart from being detained in a room for 45 minutes before giving me the car.

Recently they had an Octy vRS TFSI for around 14k with delivery mileage. Maltese import like mine. The only difference is you get a 2 year warranty instead of 3. If it was the diesel version for sale i probably would have gone for it.

So what's the scenario with a maltese import?

Presumably it isn't a uk spec car / part of our 1000 numbered vehicles? Is this why they seem to be 'cheap'.

Oh dear, they used the numbers more than once. That's really limited

the SE wasn't a Maltese one, as far as I can see here, only Octavias mentioned

Lucky Pluckers....

No, I don't think they used 'the numbers' more than once. However, it has become common knowledge that there have been various incarnations of the se released in different countries. So far, on this board, I've seen se fabias from New Zealand, Switzerland, France and apparently Malta. They've all had a slightly different spec and I've no idea what numbering they have received. It certainly doesn't alter to what extent the UK vehicle is 'limited' and I'm sure any enthusiast looking to buy one second hand a few years down the line would prefer one of the 998 UK cars to some random import.

I read marky's post as if he was talking about a fabia, but that may not be the case. My mistake.

Hi folks,

Just to confirm that Jenny colllected the furby today and as I've previously said, it is UK spec, originally supplied by Bay Horse Skoda in Herefordshire.

Motorpoint may well now have a used black Octy vRS Mk2 for sale now!
