Hi, hopefully going to look at an Octavia its a 2001 full service history, 1 year MOT rd tax and its 1550. Good price I thought. Not sure of the mileage. If its too high should I forget it. What should I look out for. I know to ask about timing belt/water pump anything else. Now paranoid about the injectors as they seem to cost an arm and a leg to fix. What mileage do they usually need replaced at. Anne

Cam belt should be replaced every 60k.

There's loads of us on here with 'High Mileage' TDi's - Mine has done 115k and has had no issues so far, so don't be put off by the clock going in to 6 figures.

AAAAh too late its gone, sold this morning. Another one i phoned about has done 200k a bit too much for my liking - will just have to keep looing. Anne
