Cost Of A Vrs Rear Bumper!!!

Featured Replies

someone has hit my vrs whilst parked outside my friendas house and ****** off!!! how much does a new rear bumper cost as i dont think it can be repaired cheers thanks:mad:

It comes in two parts, i think the main cost with a repair of this nature is the painting, and making it match the rest of the red paint.

cheers mate for your reply it the top bit of the bumper but it seems to have been unclipped down the ridge so i dont know whether a new one will be required or a paint job would surfice..i cant believe it i am gutted!! how much could it be then mate?

my excess is 275 for this to be done i am better just getting it done this way???

I think one part is approx £100 and one is a bit more at approx £170. Sadly you have to get them both apparently as they only fasten together once. It's very expensive by the time you've had the painting and fitting done.

oh my god that is unreal i am going to have a good rub down with polish just to see if i can get it looking better if not looks like an insurance claim the *** holes!! lol

If the bumper isn't actually broken/cracked, it might just be a bodyshop job. £150 perhaps to unpop a dent, make good, and a complete bumper respray. Got any pics of the damage?

I believe I can help:

Someone recently ran in the back of my vrs - fortunately they stoped. It needed a new bumper that was done a t a professional repair center. The cost to the insurance company was £560  Not quite as good as standard either but a good job of a tricky item the bumper comes in 2 bits unpainted from skoda and has to be bonded together and painted!

You seriously need to get it checked out by a body shop

(it depends on how hard they hit you, the car has crumple zones)

If it was just a simple reversed touched scrapped and run off not much more than take out the dent and respray about £400

If it was a good shunt then around £1500 sorry

Use a railway sleeper instead.

As others have said, the bodyshop is a sensible trip before spending money on parts.

My cosmetic damage was sorted with a heat up, a pop back in and a bit of a paint. An absolute ' bargain' at £170!!!

What he said, unfortunately. Have a quick search for the pictures of my fabia after a (relatively) low speed bump...

£3500...

I reversed into the gatepost on my drive one morning, i had taken the gates off as i can't be arsed getting in and out of the car to get on my drive. Where the gate hooks on to the post, the bracket went through the join of the two skins so it is knackered.

Luckily someone on here pointed out a VRS bumper on ebay for £40, just had to get it sprayed and Bobs your mothers brother.
